A lot of people have been complaining about things, but I'd like to point out the good things of this Flash, or at least the things I thought stood out.
The idea is nice, a lot of unexpected turns came in every scene. I liked the way the film was mostly music and only a few sounds to describe what the pirate actually thought. There's no need for voice. I have to say I love the art style. It's really really simple and yet it looks clean, professional and I can see hints of great art skills in development in there - I of course don't know if this was an intentional choice or if you're still learning the skills, but in both cases, great work!
The ending was very sudden, but I didn't mind that at all. It had quite a comical effect. Some things were funny, like the hat-a-chute.
So all in all, 7/10. It was a nice Flash and I enjoyed watching it. Hope to see more! :)
Yes, the old triple consonants!
Theconcept of this flash was greatly executed, the ideas were fresh and the viewpoints from Ganon's side were fun to hear for once. Game companies almost never really care for their baddies...
Anyway, the jokes were pretty fun and I chuckled here and there, but was enjoying it the rest of the time. The artwork wasn't great, but I'm going to go ahead here and guess you only have a mouse, right? It's pretty damn hard to draw with one of those things and I see you made the most out of your position too - the 'lame' style seemed to fit in quite well; sometimes the drawings looked purposefully crudely drawn and it was fun watching these moments.
The sound quality was amazing, the voice acting was great and like I said, the style fit the topic. So great work, an 7/10 from me.
Some nice music to be paired with a fun animation. I don't think I completely understand what happened, but hey, you don't always have to to enjoy it. I had half expected the girl's heart at the end to transform into that green smiling thing, or something in the story to reflect to the beginning, but that's just the kind of storyplot I would expect from something as common (not cliche, but you know, 'used') as this story.
Overall, good animation, loved the facial expressions, nice that you included the actual band members. A bit of a generic, though still a fun story. Why people always have to ruin life for big green blob monsters is completely beside my knowledge... ;)
Keep it up!
This could be hosted on any TV net and you'd get like a million viewers a day - seriously. Not only is it really well-animated, funny and incredible parodic, also are there excellent references like the Scooby-Doo one (when the mummy shows up and the dog and guy run away, for you guys who don't know Scooby-Doo).
Love it, really cool - the singing's great too! :)
Very nicely done. Liked to see some classic cartoon cliches in there, as well as some typical cartoony soundeffects. I half expected something even more creepy to come after the other guy as he picked up the thing EXTRAORDINARY BOY! dropped... ;)
PS
The vagueness of that last sentence is deliberate, to try and keep the spoilers within bounds.
This animation is really wonderful. It has a great story, amazing concepts and beautiful music that fits really well. I hope you graduate; how can they hold such talent back! Well, unless it's because they want to have you close by so they can enjoy your work themselves... ;)
I am thinking of animating a movie myself, but have never seen examples to tell me 'it can be done'. I know the Brackenwood series, and see how people relate this to it, but I felt like that is a whole different level than anything I could ever achieve. This animation proves to me that 'it can be done'. This is just what I needed to get me inspired to start working on it. It is big, it is full of just those kind of things I had in mind, yet it's simple, artistic because of its content. It's not done with those 'hot-shot professional thirty-million budget animating teams' that other animations always seem to have, but it's done by a single person, with dedication and a mind to perfect it. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to say it sucks compared to 'professional' animation; this is just as professional as you can get, although I do hope that you will get even better! I'll be following your work - this is truely amazing.
Oh, and the reason for a nine out of ten instead of a full ten? A full ten indicates perfection - and as this nears that, nothing will ever reach that point. Ten out of ten is simply impossible, in my standards; consider my 9/10 the highest mark I can ever give - congratulations, if that's what you were looking for!
Really brilliant game - loved just about everything concerning it; except the Tudor, so I threw him into the Shark Tank. :D
The ending is really nice to - it's fun that you added some aftermath controls just for the fun of it. I didn't notice the music getting repetitive and annoying, which means it was most excellently designed. I also really enjoyed the cutscenes. Well, overall, good game. Good game. NOW GO F@#% OFF!
Oh, by the way, I think I have a resolution for the infinite attack bug, since I experienced it. If you add more minions to the already stationed ones, and then make them fall back to your base by clicking on it, the bug is removed. However, this does mean that all enemies that didn't come in the other waves yet (they stayed behind, thus always existant, thus causing the bug) will now all come charging for you, so you'd better have a good defence scheme or a brilliant escape plan (blow up Earth is a nice one - worked for me :P ). Other than that, I have found no other solutions yet.
I absolutely love this. The story is excellent, the time skips are a nice addition and I like how you don't quite find out what happens to the very end - keeps you in suspense.
SPOILER ALERT
I have one question though: was the voice of the 'older' man, the one in the suit who didn't pay the main character the voice of the old man in 'Tarboy'? I really recognised the voice, I think. (Could someone PM me back about this? I'm not sure if NG has a 'reply on your comment' notification.)
I love how it looks so simple, yet it has all the right concepts and jokes in it. The facial expressions are really good and the ideas are pretty original - very nice piece of work. Good job on the theme too - Clouseau is a perfect match to this character; always trying to help, always getting in trouble. :D
This was a brilliant idea, to be honest. The different views people have on the sounds given to them really came forward in this Flash. Personally, I liked the ones created by MyKindOfFlash and TommyVF best, but like I said, that's just my opinion.
Hope to see a next one soon!

Hi, glad you liked it. Yeah it was Eric Gusky, same voice as the grandpa in Tarboy.

Thanks man, the next one will hopefully be out in a few weeks.
Look for it in July :)
That's the plan anyways
